ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Cairns, and I have been passionate about playing guitar since the age of 8. The Guitar is a versatile and expressive instrument that can be enjoyed whether you aspire to be in a band, as a soloist or just want to have fun experimenting with sounds.

I am the guitarist/multi-instrumentalist and composer of the Duo Twelve Ballet, from which I have had the pleasure of opening for Australian acts such as Amy Shark & Vera Blue.

Now, more than 13 years since I first picked up a guitar, I love to pass on what I've learnt to new musicians. I understand the passion that one can have for an instrument and enjoy being there to foster that passion and assist in each individuals personal development. I believe lessons should be above all fun and inspiring, and its my goal to get each student where they want to go.

“Ben has been teaching our son guitar for several years. In that time our son has come a very long way In his skill progression. Ben is a talented teacher and has a knack for imparting skill and knowledge in a friendly and professional manner. He also managed to keep our son motivated and passionate about guitar for the long run and for that we are very grateful"

“Ben has been teaching my son to play guitar for the past year. Ben's style of teaching really engages his students, by allowing them to choose what song they want to learn. It's because the student has a say in their learning which makes it personal, fun and much more achievable."
